About GB

Growing up in South Africa and living in LA and London, Gary Berman was a keen amateur photographer documenting many of the landscapes of the countries he worked in as a hotel manager.

Moving to Australia in 1985, now as a hotel General Manger,  Gary’s demanding career took over, and his ‘hobby’ took a back seat until he was again inspired by the scenic Central Coast of NSW when he settled here with his wife and daughter in 1999.

When some of his local beach landscapes around Terrigal were snapped up by friends and colleagues, the decision to display them to a wider market was made and Images by GB was created.

While many of the images are mounted on canvas, which naturally  capture the light and enhance the scene, images can also be framed or displayed in acrylic, a new alternative Images by GB has begun to experiment with which results in a stunning art piece.

“I want my pictures to not only reflect on the beautiful area in which I live, but also the many scenes of Australia as I travel around the country, Gary said. Each picture will include something recognisable so everyone can identify with the piece they own.

Having started off displaying his canvases at local markets, Gary was continually asked for a website so others could view the images online.  “While you now have the option of sitting in the comfort of your own home, feel free to drop us a line or visit us when in the area as its great to interact with our customers and hear about the scenery they would like captured.”
